Harvey, Kiko

Kiko Harvey is the Inspector General and Director of Oversight at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, Italy, leading a department of over 60 professionals responsible for internal audits, inspections and investigations. She joined WFP in September 2017. With more than 30 years of executive level experience in the private and public sectors, Ms. Harvey held senior management positions at Delta Air Lines and Starbucks Coffee Company, where she held the role of Chief Audit Executive, as well as Taco Bell Corp. (a division of Yum Brands) and Price Waterhouse. A Certified Public Accountant with a Certification in Risk Management Assurance, Ms. Harvey received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting degrees from the University of Southern California. She joined the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Board of Governors in 2019 where she serves as a member of the Audit, Finance and Governance Committees and serves as Chair of the ERM Subcommittee.

In keeping with The WWAAC Alliance Foundation’s mission of honoring Asian Americans who have contributed greatly to society, we will recognize one WWAAC National Spotlight Honoree each month. As part of this recognition, we will learn about the Honoree’s unique background through an extensive on-camera interview.
Through the Honorees’ personal stories, we’ll explore the how’s and why’s of their remarkable achievements – and what has driven them to success. We will hear from the Honoree’s themselves about what allowed them to rise to the top of our community; the impact their socio-economic background growing up had on their future; the positives and negatives of their parents’ and family influences; how their education impacted their careers; and how they overcame their own personal hurts and struggles.We will hear from these Honorees about what it means to be an Asian American and what legacy they will be leaving to our future generations. Through these interviews we’ll see the human dimension of these incredible Asians and hear their own words of inspiration – while witnessing why they are extraordinary.
